Again, the wolf agreed with a giggle. Feeling confident in his abilities, he gets into a bit of a free space in the parking lot and asks the guy to tell him what he should become.
His mind runs wild with ideas now: "Oh! Erm... An Eagle! No, a Lizard! Or a Bat! Or dolphins are so cool too! Or maybe a cute panda!"

Smirking at the man’s suggestion, the wolf bent his knees and then jumped into the air, sprouting feathers and spreading his wings, showing the new Eagle prowess in full glory.

Flying right over the fan's head towards the wall of the bar they are standing in front of Nik spreads his wings again to stop, landing against the wall with again changing talons and wings into smaller paws with suction cups underneath them to hold him on the wall. The feathers vanish again into now green scales as the lizard tongue flickers out proudly.

Scurrying up the wall and under the roof that sticks out a bit, easily holding on with his paws, Nik lets himself hang off of it with his hind legs and changes once again. This time again forming wings under his arms, but still holding on with his now again more furry paws onto the roof.

Letting out a non-hearable screech Nik takes off into the air again and flies over to a clear water tank that stands by the bar and right into the water. Fur pulling back for smooth skin, wings becoming flippers and legs merging into one big fin, letting him slice through the fresh liquid.

After a little dance in the water the dolphin aims for the surface for his last trick, a familiar pattern coming through over his body as fur grows with his weight, a paw grabbing onto the side of the tank and leading him over to another truck, transporting bamboo. Nik grabs a strand of it and let's himself swing further over back to the fan, that just looks over the whole show in awe. Right in front of him lands a green panda, flopping right onto his bum and takes a bite of the juicy green bamboo, with a big smile on his muzzle. He offers the flabbergasted guy the bamboo.

The game plays wonderfully smooth, the gun mechanics are comprehensive, but not necessary if you want to do a gunless run for example. The game itself has many funny aniamtions and sprites that each makes the cat react quite greatly.

Overall it's a great game for a good time, and with under 3 hours of game time, a good piece to enjoy on a quiet weekend.

And I enjoyed it, the story, in a fighting game. Imagine the confusion of all the people I told about it. Mortal Kombat is normally a game that you play against other people, that lives from the Versus modes. But I played it for the story and I liked it.

The story itself is not that deep, there is a big bad and the heroes want to stop them. And at the end they get there eventually. Credits (with lots of fatalities in slow motion). But bexond that it gives a cohesive narrative without much intrigue, but just a simple narrative. And that is something I actually like and appreciate. Also, just as a heads-up, I would recommend to at least watch the movie before playing the game, else a lot of the references would not hit at all. Or the previous Mortal Kombat titles, that works too.

The graphics are not breathtaking, the fighting is still the same as in every other game, but still it felt a little easier than the 10th installation in the series, maybe they made the input a bit easier. I couldn't really tell, because it is a few years snce i played the 10th game. I would say it is a solid game, for fans there is some more lore, and some more DLC characters to play like Terminator and Robocop. For me it was some good entertainment for a few days that cost just 3€, and isn't having a good time what games are all about?

And in the vein of trying something new, I got this fitting YCH. It shows me how I am looking through the fence I thought I was caught in, into the world outside. Into the exciting opportunities out there. Ant that I may just jump into them. But on the other hand I have my family on this very grounds, a safe place to come back to.

It will symbolize a shift in my thinking about my own life. And it will remind me to chase the opportunities, the experiences in life, rather than being stagnant and the only experiences I get are build by others.

A friend of mine wanted to look into a game called lostgamer.io, it is basically GeoGuesser, but for video game worlds. One of those worlds is the one from GTA San Andreas. We jokingly played some rounds, and I said I wanted to look into my old knowledge of San Andreas and see if I could get a good score in there. And I surprisingly remembered a lot of place from back in the day, when I was addicted to the game.

Back then we had no hour counter for games, because I just installed the disk and played the game, but I am sure I spend hundreds of hours in the game. I completed it normally, I modded it, I made a cheated play through. I tried to get as much out of the game as I could, and I did. But after I milked it long enough I was done and moved on to new games.

Until now that is. I picked it up again, because it peaked my curiosity. I wanted to relive the story of the game, that I basically had forgotten at this point, except for all the memes of following trains and big Taco Bell orders. And I did it in a new way, on my newly acquired Steam Deck.

After the hump of "Old games have weird controls" I came back into the Groove quite quickly (See what I did there? Haah, I am so funny). I knew the characters, I knew who would betray you at the end, but I didn't remember all the details, or what their motivations were. And also this time around, with an adult mind at play, I still needed to listen carefully and think about some of the things said to finally understand the why and how of people's behaviors. Maybe this is also fault of the game being a bit older, but the story writing is by far not as obvious as one might be used to from newer games.

Overall I had a good time though. The game holds up well in its original form and you can play it well. But just as a tip, if you play on hardware with more than 30 FPS and get into the swimming missions, try to lock the FPS with the ingame option for it. You will have a much easier time with it ... and you will be able to finally dive.

The art style and also the gameplay are pretty simplistic, but charming in that sense. You can sink multiple hours into it and just watch your slopes being used by the adventurous Skiers.

The sad part about the game is, that it is underdeveloped. There is a lot of bugs and glitches in the game, that obviously shouldn't be there and hamper the experience a lot. there is a few mods to fix some things, but there is not a lot of community support for such a small game. And there is no hope, as the developer declared the game as "finished" and won't give out any further patches to it.

The art is amazing and shows the skill of the artist. The sexy scenes are juicy and well integrated, not for the jack-off factor, but to illustrate the love between them. And I think they are also a important part of the story.

As a game it has many quality of life features like a progress tree for the different endings as well as art galleries for all the characters, their sprites and the special illustrated scenes.

You learn a lot about the Scottish folklore which is deeply interesting to me and I myself felt right at home in the highlands.

Definitely a big recommendation for those who like visual novels and want a heart warming story of a war veteran coming back to his little home town.
